{MITSUI OUTLET Park}

MITSUI OUTLET Park, which is the first outlet near a harbor in Taiwan. Visit more than 170 iconic brands while enjoying the sea view of Taichung harbor and Taiwan’s beautiful weather in this large outdoor outlet. After shopping, enjoy the breathtaking sunset by taking a ride on the ferris wheel and overlook the MITSUI OUTLET Park.

 

{Gaomei Wetlands}

After you visit MITSUI OUTLET park, you can go to Gaomei wetlands to appreciate the beauty of the sunset. It’s a 15-minute-drive from MITSUI OUTLET Park to there. This place has been a well-known preserved spot for playing with water since the Japanese occupation period. About 120 kinds of species habitat in this area. In addition, when the sun sets, you can see the golden and glorious sunset reflecting in the water. It’s a great place for you to take some stunning pictures!

{Park Lane by CMP}

Park Lane by CMP is a shopping mall located near Calligraphy Greenway. The design concept of this shopping mall is to respect the philosophy of the mother nature, so the building features the symbiosis of the plants and the building. Every day, 200kg of the carbon dioxide can be absorbed by the plants, and 150kg of oxygen would be released at the same time. Furthermore, the design can have the effect of lowering the temperature in summer as well. What’s more, Park Lane by CMP is quite near the Taichung Art Museum, the National Museum of Natural Science, and the Shenji New Village, so you can spend your all day here.

 

{Shenji New Village}

Shenji New Village was once a dorm of the government of the province, but it had been forgotten and abandoned for a long time. Afterwards, the old dorm was renovated and has become a fair on weekends, and many coffee shops, dessert shops and stores have settled here. It’s pretty popular among young people.

Top City in Taichung is the largest department store in Taiwan, which is combined with delicacies, entertainment, and boutiques. Feng Chia Night Market is about 1.2km away from the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department store. The culture of night markets is well-known in Taiwan, and it’s a must-visit place for many foreigners. You can find many representative Taiwanese foods in the night market, including bubble milk tea, crispy chicken steak, stinky tofu, shaved ice, and papaya milk there at affordable prices. {National Taichung Theater}

National Taichung Theater is about 400m away from the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store, which was designed by the well-known Japanese architect Toyo Ito. The theater features the wavy walls, which is recognized as one of the hardest buildings to construct, and the ninth landmark in the world. Moreover, there is a sky garden on the 6th floor. You can overlook the city when you are in the sky garden.
