Guguang Hot Spring features carbonated spring, which is giving off the distinctive smell of sulfide. It’s said that going on this hot spring can benefit your joints, nerves, the gastrointestinal tract, skin, etc. The temperature of the hot spring is around 48℃ to 60℃, which is exactly the comfortable temperature for people. What’s more, it is rumored that Emperor Meji went to the Guguang Hot Spring and got a baby boy. Because of this legend, Guguang Hot Spring is popular among people who desire for having a baby.

 

{Shaolai Walking Trail}

Guguang is not only famous for hot springs, but also known for a challenging trail. There are several warnings along Shaolai Walking Trail to remind tourists of the safety because of the rough terrain. While you are walking on this trail, you’ve got the chance to take a look at a giant Taiwan White Pine, which has already been over a thousand years old. This museum exhibits some artworks to tell you the culture and history of hot springs. What’s more, there is a free outdoor hot spring for your feet! Surprisingly, there are some fish in this hot spring. By soaking your feet in this hot spring, fish will help exfoliate off the dead skin of your feet gently.
